Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Orlando, FL. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our diverse fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of vehicle maintenance, from preventative schedules to critical repairs, with a strong emphasis on technical oversight and efficiency. You will liaise with technicians, parts suppliers, and operational teams to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance (PMs) for all fleet vehicles, ensuring timely completion and adherence to service intervals.
  • Oversee and track all repair work, monitoring progress and ensuring quality control on technical aspects.
  • Manage work orders, including creation, assignment, and closure in the fleet management system.
  • Source and order parts and supplies, managing inventory and negotiating with vendors to optimize costs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to fleet technicians as needed, leveraging strong diagnostic skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records for all vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle maintenance and safety.
  • Analyze fleet data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with operations teams regarding vehicle availability and maintenance status.
  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance best practices and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in fleet maintenance coordination or a similar technical role.
  • Strong technical understanding of vehicle systems (diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, braking).
  • Proficiency with fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and guide repair processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field.
  • ASE certification (Automotive Service Excellence) in relevant areas.
  • Experience with heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with parts procurement and inventory management.
