Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in healthcare without prior experience? LensCrafters is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Optometry Technician Trainee. This entry-level, full-time position offers comprehensive, on-the-job training to equip you with the skills needed to assist our Optometrists and provide excellent patient care. You will learn to perform essential pre-testing procedures, support patient flow, and become an integral part of our eye care team. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and perform preliminary diagnostic tests, including visual acuity measurements and tonometry, under the supervision of a licensed Optometrist.
- Prepare examination rooms before and after patient visits, ensuring all equipment is clean and calibrated.
- Assist Optometrists during eye examinations, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
- Accurately record patient medical history, chief complaints, and test results in electronic health records.
- Educate patients on various lens options, frame styles, and contact lens care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all clinical areas and equipment.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and customer service.
Required Skills
