Job Description
Music & Arts in New Port Richey is seeking a talented and passionate Brass Teacher specializing in Trumpet and Trombone for weekend instruction. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire budding musicians, from beginners to advanced students, in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for providing engaging and personalized lessons, helping students develop their technical skills, musicality, and a lifelong love for brass instruments. Ideal candidates will have a strong performance background and a genuine desire to teach and mentor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, engaging private and group lessons in trumpet and trombone to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Introduce students to music theory, history, and different musical styles relevant to brass instruments.
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performances as appropriate.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and goals.
- Stay current with pedagogical techniques and brass repertoire.
Required Skills
- Exceptional proficiency and performance ability on both trumpet and trombone.
- Proven ability to teach and inspire students of all ages.
- Strong understanding of music theory, harmony, and ear training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
