Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and focused Shopping Mall Security Dispatcher to join our team in Kirkcaldy. This is primarily a sit-down role in a dedicated control room, responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, coordinating security responses, and maintaining clear communication channels within the Mercat Shopping Centre. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of shoppers, staff, and property. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms for suspicious activity or incidents.
- Dispatch security personnel to respond to incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance.
- Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and dispatches.
- Communicate effectively with security guards, mall management, and emergency services.
- Operate communication equipment, including two-way radios and telephones.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely updates to relevant parties during incidents.
- Handle routine inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.
- Document and report all security breaches, equipment malfunctions, and unsafe conditions.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in using computer systems and security software.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security control room or dispatch role.
- SIA Door Supervisor or CCTV licence (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience in a retail or shopping centre environment.
