Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance claims.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and processing returns.
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology (a plus, but not required).
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or willingness to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working in a retail or healthcare setting.
