Job Description
Join the Lowe’s team as an Appliance Delivery Helper and play a crucial role in bringing home improvement dreams to life for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in logistics and customer service, with no prior experience required. You’ll work as part of a two-person crew, assisting a driver in the safe and efficient delivery and basic installation of appliances directly to customer homes. Your commitment to teamwork, safety, and excellent customer service will be key to your success and our customers’ satisfaction. We provide all necessary training and support for you to excel in this physically engaging role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading appliances onto and off the delivery truck.
- Safely transport appliances into customer homes, navigating various entry points and potential obstacles.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to prevent damage to products, property, and ensure personal safety.
- Provide basic installation services for appliances, such as connecting washing machine hoses or leveling refrigerators, as directed.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, answering basic questions and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Verify product accuracy and completeness with customers upon delivery.
- Assist in the proper disposal or return of old appliances as per company policy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the delivery truck and at customer sites.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and dispatch regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (up to 70 lbs individually; team lift for heavier items) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor role or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with appliance handling or basic installation.

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
