Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Video Editor to join our vibrant creative team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring editor to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced media environment. You will be instrumental in supporting our video production efforts across various brands, helping to bring compelling stories and educational content to life through engaging visual storytelling. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior editors in all aspects of video post-production, including editing, sound design, motion graphics, and color grading.
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content for various platforms (YouTube, social media, websites) under guidance.
- Organize and manage media assets, ensuring efficient workflow and proper archiving.
- Implement feedback from creative directors and stakeholders to refine video edits.
- Stay updated with current video editing trends, software, and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with videographers, producers, and marketing teams.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics.
- Foundational knowledge of video editing principles, including pacing, storytelling, and sound design.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A portfolio or reel demonstrating editing capabilities (even student projects are welcome).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related creative field.
- Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite applications (e.g., Photoshop, Audition).
- Familiarity with various camera formats and codecs.
- Basic knowledge of color correction and grading techniques.
- Experience with online content platforms and social media video best practices.
