Job Description

Are you looking for a career change with full training provided? Orkin Canada is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Pest Control Technicians in Guelph, Ontario. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the skills needed to become a successful pest control expert. You will also be provided with a company vehicle to perform your duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Orkin's comprehensive training program to learn pest identification, treatment methods, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations and entry points.
  • Apply pest control treatments according to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, explaining services and answering questions.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain company vehicle, equipment, and supplies.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships.

Required Skills

  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a schedule effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of common pests and their habits.
  • Experience working in a field-based role.
