Job Description
Join Selecta UK as a Vending Machine Snack Packer in our Glenrothes distribution centre. In this vital role, you will be responsible for meticulously preparing snack boxes and beverage crates, ensuring they are accurately packed according to route sheets and ready for our delivery drivers. Your attention to detail directly contributes to the smooth operation of our vending services and customer satisfaction. This is an active role requiring organization, efficiency, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack snacks, drinks, and other vending products according to specific route lists and driver requirements.
- Inspect items for quality and expiry dates before packing.
- Organize packed boxes and crates for efficient loading by drivers.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving stock and performing stock counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing area and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with stock or orders to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and follow packing lists accurately.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15kg regularly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, or distribution role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience with food handling or similar regulated environments.
