Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Back End Developer to join our growing team in Bath. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance back-end systems that power our cutting-edge healthcare applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to deliver robust and secure solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure back-end services and APIs.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code in C# and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
- Work with databases (SQL Server, NoSQL) to manage data effectively.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core/.NET 6+).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
