Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and reliable Independent Process Servers to join our network in Edinburgh. This role involves the accurate and timely delivery of legal documents to individuals and businesses across the region. As an independent contractor, you will manage your own schedule, prioritize assignments, and adhere to strict legal guidelines for service of process. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review legal documents for service, ensuring accuracy and understanding requirements.
- Plan efficient routes for document delivery within designated geographical areas.
- Attempt service of process in compliance with all relevant legal statutes and client instructions.
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all case information.
- Provide detailed and accurate affidavits of service, sworn statements, or proofs of service.
- Communicate effectively with the client and our coordination team regarding service attempts and outcomes.
- Maintain precise records of all attempts and completed services.
- Adhere to strict deadlines for document delivery and return.
- Manage challenging situations professionally and safely.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with the Edinburgh area.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and smartphone usage for reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
