Job Description
Are you looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare? Visionworks is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Optometry Technician Trainee. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to equip you with the skills needed to excel. As a Trainee, you will learn to assist our Optometrists in providing exceptional patient care by performing preliminary eye tests, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a smooth clinic flow. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and accurately perform preliminary eye tests, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, and tonometry.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist patients with understanding basic eye care procedures and answering their questions.
- Maintain patient records with precision and confidentiality.
- Calibrate and maintain ophthalmic equipment under supervision.
- Support the Optometrist during eye examinations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when necessary.
