Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team in Truro. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring pricing strategies across various product categories to ensure competitiveness, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with merchandising, marketing, and finance teams, providing insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitor analysis, and sales data. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to understand pricing landscapes and identify opportunities.
- Analyze sales data, promotional effectiveness, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.
- Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide regular reports on pricing performance, including margin analysis and elasticity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement pricing changes and new strategies effectively.
- Monitor the impact of pricing strategies on sales volume, revenue, and market share.
- Identify and recommend adjustments to pricing strategies to optimize profitability and meet business objectives.
- Ensure pricing compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a pricing, analytical, or financial role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in the retail or FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with pricing software or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
