Job Description
Are you passionate about customer service and have a keen eye for detail? Target is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Retail Experience Rater to join our quality assurance team. In this dynamic role, you will travel to various Target store locations, evaluating the overall guest experience, store presentation, product availability, and team member interactions. Your objective observations and detailed reports will directly contribute to enhancing our retail standards and ensuring Target continues to deliver an outstanding experience to every guest. This position requires significant travel within the assigned region, for which a travel stipend will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough on-site evaluations of Target stores based on predefined criteria, including cleanliness, product merchandising, signage accuracy, and promotional displays.
- Observe and assess team member interactions with guests, evaluating friendliness, helpfulness, and adherence to service standards.
- Document findings accurately and comprehensively using proprietary reporting tools, including detailed written descriptions and photographic evidence.
- Identify areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement in store operations and guest experience.
- Provide constructive, objective feedback and insights to regional and corporate teams.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines regarding all observations and findings.
- Manage a flexible schedule to accommodate travel requirements and store visit assignments.
- Participate in calibration sessions and training to ensure consistency in evaluation standards.
Required Skills

- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with mobile devices and data entry applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and objectivity.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 75% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or quality assurance roles.
- Familiarity with retail operations and merchandising principles.
- Experience using mystery shopping or auditing software.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
