Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Makeup & Prosthetics Intern to join our dynamic production team in London. This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of film and television production, working alongside experienced professionals in our creative departments. The intern will assist with various aspects of makeup and prosthetics application, maintenance, and preparation for a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior makeup artists and prosthetics designers with daily tasks on set and in the workshop.
  • Prepare makeup stations, tools, and materials for various productions.
  • Support in the application and removal of basic makeup and prosthetics under supervision.
  • Help with the cleaning, organization, and maintenance of makeup and prosthetics kits and storage areas.
  • Run errands and provide general administrative support to the department as needed.
  • Observe and learn professional techniques in character makeup, special effects makeup, and prosthetics creation.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with industry standards.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of makeup application and hygiene principles.
  • Strong passion for film and television production, particularly in makeup and prosthetics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive work ethic.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant makeup artistry, prosthetics, or cosmetology program.
  • Portfolio showcasing personal makeup or prosthetics work (student projects welcome).
  • Basic knowledge of different skin types, products, and special effects techniques.
  • Experience with set etiquette and working on a production environment (even student films).
