Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Eco-Tourism Lodge Assistant to join our team at a stunning remote lodge located within Pennsylvania’s natural wilderness. This unique opportunity offers on-site accommodation and requires an individual who is eager to contribute to the daily operations of an eco-conscious lodge, ensuring an unforgettable experience for our guests while respecting and preserving the surrounding environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of lodge operations, including guest check-ins/outs, inquiries, and problem resolution.
  • Support housekeeping and maintenance tasks to ensure the lodge and guest accommodations are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Help with food and beverage service, including meal preparation, serving, and dining area upkeep.
  • Participate in guided eco-tours and outdoor activities, ensuring guest safety and providing educational insights into local flora and fauna.
  • Monitor and report on lodge supplies, assisting with inventory management and ordering.
  • Uphold and promote sustainable practices, including waste management, energy conservation, and local sourcing.
  • Engage with guests to enhance their experience, share knowledge about the local environment, and gather feedback.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and emergency procedures as required.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to a dynamic, remote work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hospitality operations and guest service principles.
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate basic lodge equipment (e.g., ATVs, small boats, if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, eco-tourism, or a related field.
  • Certification in Wilderness First Aid or CPR.
  • Knowledge of local ecology, wildlife, and conservation efforts.
  • Experience living or working in remote locations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
