Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our expanding home care team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential support and personal care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. This role is vital in helping our patients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. You will be a key part of our commitment to delivering personalized and dignified care, working closely with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with self-administration as directed.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying living areas and laundry.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive and comfortable environment.
- Document services provided accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies.
- Assist with basic errands and appointments as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliability and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
- Previous experience in a home care, hospital, or assisted living setting.
- Knowledge of Korean language and culture (beneficial for local patient interaction).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
