Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Woodwind Instructor specializing in Flute and Clarinet to join our esteemed faculty. This part-time position involves providing high-quality, individualized and group instruction to students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for music, and developing their technical proficiency and musicality. The ideal candidate will be an excellent performer, an inspiring educator, and a dedicated mentor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide private and group instruction for flute and clarinet students.
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and goals.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and examinations.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and Conservatory staff.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Required Skills
- Exceptional proficiency in flute and clarinet performance.
- Strong pedagogical skills with a proven ability to teach all ages and levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Familiarity with various teaching methods and repertoire.
- Degree in Music Performance or Music Education (Bachelor's minimum).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Music Performance or Music Education.
- Previous teaching experience at a music conservatory or school.
- Experience with diverse musical styles (classical, jazz, contemporary).
- Active professional performance career.
