Job Description
Are you passionate about guiding individuals through complex challenges and empowering them to make confident, well-informed decisions? BetterUp is seeking a dedicated WFH Clarity Coach with a strong focus on decision-making support. In this fully remote role, you will work one-on-one with professionals across various industries, helping them gain clarity, explore options, and develop effective strategies to navigate critical choices in their careers and personal growth. This position requires exceptional listening skills, empathetic communication, and a proven ability to facilitate deep self-reflection and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions remotely via video conferencing, focusing on decision-making processes.
- Help coachees identify their core values, priorities, and potential biases influencing their decisions.
- Guide coachees through structured frameworks and tools for analyzing options, evaluating risks, and foreseeing consequences.
- Facilitate self-discovery to help coachees build confidence in their decision-making abilities.
- Provide constructive feedback and actionable strategies to improve clarity and reduce indecision.
- Maintain accurate records of coaching interactions and progress using BetterUp's proprietary platform.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance coaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of coaches and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional coaching experience, with a focus on decision-making, leadership, or executive coaching.
- Strong empathetic listening and communication skills.
- Proficiency in various decision-making models and critical thinking techniques.
- Ability to build rapport and trust quickly in a virtual environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working with diverse individuals and varying professional backgrounds.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable utilizing virtual coaching platforms and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- ICF (International Coach Federation) certification (ACC, PCC, or MCC).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Familiarity with cognitive behavioral coaching (CBC) or positive psychology principles.
