Job Description
AdventHealth is seeking a dynamic and highly energetic Wellness Screening Nurse to join our corporate wellness team. This vital role involves traveling to various corporate client locations within the Pasco County area and beyond to conduct on-site health screenings and educational initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, skilled professional who thrives in fast-paced event environments, possesses excellent communication skills, and can engage participants with enthusiasm. You will be instrumental in promoting proactive health management and delivering an exceptional wellness experience to our corporate partners and their employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of health screenings, including but not limited to blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and biometric measurements at corporate wellness events.
- Provide basic health education and lifestyle counseling to participants based on screening results, encouraging healthy habits and preventative care.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper calibration.
- Document screening results accurately and efficiently using digital and/or paper records.
- Collaborate with the corporate wellness team to ensure seamless event execution and participant flow.
- Represent AdventHealth professionally and positively at all corporate events.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive, high-energy atmosphere at events.
- Travel regularly to various corporate client sites within the designated service area.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Proficiency in conducting various health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, finger-stick tests).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic event settings.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable with technology for data entry and electronic record keeping.
- Demonstrated high energy and enthusiasm for promoting health and wellness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in corporate wellness, community health, or occupational health.
- Certification in phlebotomy or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
- Experience with health coaching or group education.
