Job Description
Are you looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity to contribute to a vital healthcare team? Medical Center of Trinity is seeking a Weekend Uniform Laundry Aide to join our environmental services department. No prior experience is required! We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and support our staff by ensuring clean and readily available uniforms. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute uniforms and linens according to established procedures.
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report needs to supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
- Inspect uniforms for damage or stains and report issues as needed.
- Assist with other environmental services tasks as assigned during downtime or peak periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions and safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and push/pull carts throughout the shift.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a laundry, hospitality, or healthcare setting (though not required).
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment.
