Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Compliance Aide with a strong focus on Safety and Standards to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. In this critical role, you will support the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols, operational standards, and regulatory compliance within our fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a vital part in ensuring a safe workplace for all employees, identifying potential hazards, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in adherence to company policies and industry regulations. This position is ideal for an individual with an eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining high operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily monitoring of warehouse operations to ensure compliance with all safety regulations (OSHA), company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and work areas to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Support the documentation and investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, helping to identify root causes and preventive measures.
- Provide basic training and guidance to warehouse associates on safety protocols, proper equipment usage, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, safety inspections, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and safety teams to implement corrective actions and improve safety performance.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of new safety initiatives.
- Ensure all safety signage, warnings, and personal protective equipment (PPE) are correctly used and maintained.
- Assist with environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and hazardous material handling.
- Stay informed about current safety regulations and company policies, ensuring the site remains up-to-date.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety principles.
- Ability to identify and report safety hazards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Experience with safety inspections or compliance auditing.
- Certification in first aid or CPR.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
