Job Description

Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for helping others, but prefer written communication over phone calls? HubSpot is seeking a dedicated Virtual Tech Support Chat Agent to join our dynamic customer support team. This is a 100% remote position where you will provide exceptional technical assistance to our users exclusively through chat and email. We’ll send you all the equipment you need to succeed from your home office. You’ll be the first point of contact for users encountering technical issues, guiding them through troubleshooting steps, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience with our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient technical support to HubSpot users via live chat and email channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to HubSpot's CRM, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and Service Hub products.
  • Guide users through step-by-step solutions and provide clear, concise instructions.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support engineers or relevant internal teams when necessary.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions accurately in the CRM system.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by creating and updating support articles and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and report recurring bugs or feature requests.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and empathetic communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with new product features, updates, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of English grammar and spelling.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically and systematically.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and web-based applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency with common operating systems (Windows, macOS) and web browsers.
  • A quiet, dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a chat-based technical support role.
  • Experience with HubSpot products or similar marketing/sales automation platforms.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript concepts.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in IT support or relevant software applications.
