Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized UPS Dispatcher Assistant to support our logistics operations in Wesley Chapel, FL. In this vital role, you will assist the dispatch team in coordinating routes, managing driver schedules, and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of packages. This position is perfect for an individual with a strong aptitude for organization, communication, and problem-solving, eager to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be a key player in ensuring our drivers have the support they need to provide exceptional service, contributing directly to UPS’s renowned reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dispatchers in planning and optimizing daily delivery routes.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, and delivery instructions.
- Monitor driver progress and address any on-route issues or delays.
- Process and maintain accurate dispatch records, logs, and reports.
- Handle incoming calls from drivers and internal departments, providing support and information.
- Support with driver check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Assist in the preparation of daily manifests and allocation of resources.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve delivery discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch support.
- Familiarity with dispatch software or GPS tracking systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Knowledge of local geography and road networks in the Pasco County area.
