Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Turret Truck Operator with a strong focus on Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products, materials, and stock within our state-of-the-art VNA warehouse facility. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized inventory system. You will operate specialized turret trucks in tight aisles, perform put-aways, retrieves, and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and contributing to overall warehouse productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate turret trucks (VNA trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Perform accurate put-away of incoming inventory into designated VNA rack locations.
- Conduct precise order picking and retrieval of products from high-level VNA racks.
- Execute systematic cycle counts and assist with inventory management to maintain accuracy.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and warehouse policies.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the VNA aisles.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience operating turret trucks or other VNA equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently in tight spaces.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory scanning and data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification in operating turret trucks or VNA material handling equipment.
- Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Experience in a high-volume logistics or distribution center environment.
