Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and passionate Online Brand Scout with a keen focus on Netflix content discovery. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in identifying emerging talent, innovative content concepts, and compelling intellectual property across digital platforms that align with Netflix’s evolving content strategy. This position requires an eagle eye for trends, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the digital media landscape and Netflix’s diverse content library.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor various digital platforms, social media, independent film festivals, and content creation hubs for emerging talent and unique content ideas.
  • Proactively identify creators, writers, directors, and concepts that demonstrate strong potential for appeal on global streaming platforms, with a specific emphasis on Netflix.
  • Analyze content trends, audience demographics, and performance data to inform scouting efforts and identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and presentations on discovered talent and content, highlighting their unique value proposition and alignment with Netflix's needs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal content acquisition, strategy, and talent representation teams to pitch and develop identified opportunities.
  • Stay continuously updated on Netflix's commissioning priorities, content gaps, and audience preferences.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of contacts within the digital creator and independent content communities.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to identify emerging trends and talent in digital media and entertainment.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Deep familiarity with Netflix's content slate across various genres and international markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate insights clearly and concisely.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in using online tools and platforms for content discovery and data analysis.
  • A genuine passion for film, television, and digital content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Media Production, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior experience (academic or professional) in content scouting, market research, talent management, or digital media strategy.
  • Familiarity with content management systems or media analytics platforms.
  • Experience creating pitch decks or comprehensive content reports.
