Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks relevant to the patient's immediate environment.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Remind patients to take medications as prescribed (no administration of medication).
- Monitor and report changes in patient's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive and comfortable environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Current Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in the state of Florida.
- Proven ability to provide compassionate and effective personal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform required tasks.
- Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient well-being.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
