Job Description
Are you a passionate and skilled musician with a knack for teaching? Music & Arts is seeking a dedicated Traveling Music Teacher to join our team in the Green Valley area of Henderson, Nevada. This exciting role involves providing personalized, in-home music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love for music, and helping them achieve their musical goals. Key Responsibilities
- Travel to students' homes within the designated service area to deliver private music lessons.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Teach a variety of instruments, primarily focusing on popular instruments like guitar, piano, voice, drums, and band/orchestral instruments.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress, assignments, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of lessons taught, student attendance, and progress reports.
- Promote a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines during all lessons and travel.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least two musical instruments (e.g., Piano and Guitar, Voice and Violin).
- Strong understanding of music theory and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to teach and motivate students of diverse ages and backgrounds.
- Highly organized with excellent time management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience in a private or group setting.
- Experience with music curriculum development.
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies for different instruments.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
