Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity where you can earn daily tips and be an integral part of a fast-paced delivery team? Five Guys in Camden is seeking a dedicated Fast Food Delivery Helper to ride along with our drivers, assisting with deliveries and ensuring our delicious food reaches our customers fresh and on time. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who is reliable, customer-focused, and eager to learn the ropes of food delivery in one of London’s most vibrant areas. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training!
Key Responsibilities
- Ride alongside delivery drivers to assist with navigation and delivery logistics.
- Help transport food orders from the restaurant to customer locations safely and efficiently.
- Ensure orders are accurately packed, secure, and maintained at the correct temperature during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery, including friendly interactions and accurate order handover.
- Assist drivers with route planning and optimization when required.
- Handle cash and card payments during delivery, if applicable, and ensure accurate transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the restaurant team and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry delivery bags (up to 10kg) and navigate stairs.
- A positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of the Camden and wider North London area.
- Previous experience in a customer service or similar role (though not essential).
- A passion for great food and delivering exceptional service.
