Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Tractor Trailer Operator for regional routes based out of our Pasco, WA facility. This is a full-time position offering consistent work, competitive pay, and excellent benefits, including medical and dental coverage from day one. As a regional route driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods across designated regional areas, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on regional routes, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any issues.
- Transport freight efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up schedules are met.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training.
- Represent XPO Logistics professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Proficient in using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Experience with various types of freight and equipment
