Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Tote Box Washer to join our industrial cleaning facility in Sacramento. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the thorough cleaning and sanitation of reusable tote boxes and other material handling equipment, ensuring they meet strict hygiene standards for their next use in the supply chain. This position is vital to maintaining operational efficiency and product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial washing machines and manual cleaning equipment to effectively clean plastic tote boxes and containers.
- Inspect all returned totes for debris, damage, and residue before and after washing.
- Sort and stack clean tote boxes efficiently for storage or immediate reuse.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate cleaning solutions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor cleaning equipment for proper function and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the industrial cleaning facility.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and quality control.
- Assist with other general facility tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, bending, and reaching.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow them rigorously.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an industrial cleaning, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with operating industrial cleaning equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
