Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tanker Solo Driver to join our dedicated team in Escondido, CA. This position offers top pay with a guaranteed weekly minimum, ensuring financial stability and recognition for your expertise. As a Tanker Solo Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of bulk liquid commodities, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety standards. This is a critical role for drivers who are committed to safety, reliability, and excellence on every run.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle equipped with a tanker trailer.
- Transport bulk liquid commodities to various destinations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, logging any defects.
- Adhere to all Federal, State, and local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required documentation electronically.
- Monitor and maintain tank pressure and temperature as required for specific loads.
- Perform loading and unloading operations safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Ensure proper placarding and securement of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and work environment.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Tanker endorsement (N endorsement).
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement (H endorsement).
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
- Minimum of 1 year verifiable tanker experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a variety of liquid bulk commodities.
- Previous experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- A proven track record of safe driving and on-time delivery.
