Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Theme Park Operations Manager to oversee the daily operational excellence of Hersheypark. This critical role involves managing attractions, guest services, safety protocols, and staff to ensure a world-class experience for all visitors. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily park operations, including attractions, guest services, and facilities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of operations supervisors and frontline staff.
- Implement and enforce all safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements to enhance the visitor experience.
- Manage operational budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control expenses.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, security, F&B) to ensure seamless park functionality.
- Develop and implement operational strategies for peak seasons and special events.
- Respond to and resolve operational incidents and emergencies effectively.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in theme park operations or a similar large-scale entertainment venue.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and risk management in a public entertainment setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with ride maintenance and safety standards (ASTM, ANSI).
- Certified Attractions Operations Professional (CAOP) certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management for large operations.
