Job Description
As a Clinical Nurse Manager at Edward-Elmhurst Health, you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring our nursing teams to deliver exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
- Oversee daily unit operations, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, and best practices in patient care.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Manage budgets, staffing schedules, and inventory for the assigned unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based practices.
- Address patient and family concerns, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Facilitate staff meetings and educational sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or charge nurse role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field.
- Certification in nursing leadership (e.g., CNML, NE-BC).
- Experience in the specific clinical area (e.g., Medical-Surgical, ICU, ER).
- Experience with lean methodologies or process improvement in healthcare.
