Job Description

Kadlec Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Unit. This is an exceptional opportunity for both experienced nurses and new graduates alike, as we provide comprehensive, ongoing training to ensure your success in monitoring and caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions. As a Telemetry RN, you will be a vital part of a collaborative team, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment and critical thinking skills to provide excellent patient care. Your role will involve continuous observation, assessment, and intervention for patients recovering from cardiac procedures or managing cardiovascular diseases. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors, identifying and reporting changes to the medical team promptly.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social aspects, and document findings accurately.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to the 5 rights of medication administration.
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their cardiac condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Manage emergency situations effectively, including participation in code responses.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain a therapeutic environment.

Required Skills

  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret basic EKG rhythms.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Previous experience in telemetry, cardiovascular, or critical care nursing.
  • Certification in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing (CV-BC).
