Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious Stand-up Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama. You will be responsible for operating stand-up forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory management and adherence to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and other vehicles, ensuring secure and accurate placement of goods.
- Stack and retrieve products from various storage locations, optimizing space utilization.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, scanning, and documenting product movements.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience with stand-up forklifts in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning technology.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
