Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Headless Commerce Specialist to join our dynamic digital team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing our headless commerce solutions built on Shopify, leveraging the power of Hydrogen and Oxygen frameworks. You will work closely with our e-commerce, marketing, and development teams to deliver cutting-edge, high-performance, and scalable online experiences for our guests. This role requires a deep understanding of modern web development practices, Shopify’s ecosystem, and a passion for creating exceptional digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance headless Shopify storefronts using Hydrogen and Oxygen.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into technical solutions.
- Integrate with Shopify's APIs, third-party services, and other internal systems to extend functionality and enhance user experience.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security across various devices and browsers.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the headless commerce platform.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Shopify, headless commerce, and web development.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong focus on e-commerce.
- Proven expertise with Shopify's Hydrogen and Oxygen frameworks.
- Proficiency in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with GraphQL and RESTful API integrations.
- Solid understanding of headless commerce architecture and principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus and custom app development.
- Knowledge of Liquid templating language.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices for conversion optimization.
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and personalization tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
