Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Content Manager to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and accurate product descriptions that drive sales and enhance the customer experience on various Shopify e-commerce platforms. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the success of diverse online businesses by bringing products to life through engaging content. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive product descriptions for Shopify stores, adhering to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
- Research product features, benefits, and target audience to create content that resonates with potential customers.
- Collaborate with e-commerce managers and clients to understand product specifications and marketing goals.
- Ensure all product content is consistent in tone, style, and accuracy across various platforms.
- Perform competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and differentiate product listings.
- Upload and manage product descriptions and other content directly within Shopify admin.
- Review and edit existing product content for quality, grammar, and adherence to current standards.
- Stay updated on Shopify best practices, e-commerce trends, and SEO requirements for product content.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience in writing compelling product descriptions or e-commerce content.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles for content optimization.
- Familiarity with the Shopify platform and its content management features.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous content writing work (e.g., product descriptions, web copy).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with various product categories and industries.
- Knowledge of A/B testing for content optimization.
- Proficiency with content management tools beyond Shopify.
- Understanding of basic HTML for web content formatting.
