Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care practices.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience.
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred, depending on unit assignment).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Specialty certification (e.g., Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Emergency).
- Experience in an academic medical center setting.
- ACLS and PALS certification.
