Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently over designated regional routes, typically within a 500-mile radius.
- Transport freight, ensuring timely and secure delivery to our valued customers.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork, adhering to DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and fellow team members regarding load status, delays, and other operational details.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting, damage, or accidents during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Ability to successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and pre-employment drug screen.
- Maintain a clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
- Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 pounds as required.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics to perform routine inspections and identify potential issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
- Prior experience with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) systems.
- Current Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Current Tanker endorsement.
- Experience with reefer or flatbed operations is a plus.
