Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Precision Plinth Cutter to join our team, working on a paid-per-meter or per-intervention basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the immaculate finish of our kitchen and joinery installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and fitting plinths to a variety of specifications and materials, ensuring a seamless and professional look for our high-quality kitchen and joinery products. This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous individual who takes pride in their craftsmanship and is motivated by direct remuneration for their precise output and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Precisely measure and cut kitchen plinths to exact specifications, ensuring a perfect fit and impeccable finish for various kitchen designs.
• Work confidently with a diverse range of materials, including MDF, laminate, and solid wood, adapting techniques as required.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing tasks, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure all cuts are clean, accurate, and free from defects, adhering to quality control standards.
• Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies within the workshop and on client sites.
• Efficiently manage own workload and time to meet project deadlines and maximize earning potential.
• Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent working condition and calibrated for precision.
• Collaborate effectively with installation teams and other trades to ensure a smooth workflow and achieve superior final results.

Required Skills

• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in precision cutting, joinery, or a related trade.
• Expertise in safely and effectively using various cutting tools, including circular saws, jig saws, and mitre saws.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills, with an unwavering eye for detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional attention to detail and an unyielding commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage time efficiently to meet productivity targets.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety protocols specific to workshop and construction environments.
• A valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or a related field.
• Prior experience working specifically with kitchen or fitted furniture installations.
• Possession of a valid CSCS card.
