Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Metro Warehouse Associate at our City Center location in Lancaster. This essential role is critical to maintaining the flow of merchandise, ensuring that products are received, processed, and prepared for sales floor presentation or direct shipment efficiently and accurately. You will be an integral part of our logistics operation, working in a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail and a commitment to safety and teamwork. This is an on-site position vital to our urban retail supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise, verifying counts against packing lists.
- Sort and organize products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and loading trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Fulfill orders for our city center retail operations and potentially direct-to-customer services.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and paperwork.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
