Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmacy Compliance Assistant to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role is critical in supporting our pharmacy operations by ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong regulatory focus, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of all compliance-related activities, licenses, and certifications.
- Monitor changes in pharmacy laws and regulations, and assist in updating internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Support internal and external audits by gathering necessary documentation and information.
- Coordinate training sessions for pharmacy staff on new or revised compliance procedures.
- Respond to inquiries regarding compliance policies and procedures.
- Help ensure all pharmacy operations comply with HIPAA, state pharmacy boards, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Assist in investigating and resolving compliance issues or discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, state pharmacy board regulations).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Previous experience in a regulated healthcare environment or a compliance-focused role.
- Familiarity with compliance management software or systems.
