Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Petrol Station Cashier for our busy Southampton location. This role involves working a mix of night and day shifts, ensuring secure and efficient operation of the station. As a Petrol Station Cashier, you will be the front-line ambassador for BP, providing excellent customer service, handling transactions, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. This position offers stability and the opportunity to become a valued member of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process fuel and merchandise sales accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, card, and other payment methods, ensuring correct change and transaction records.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent service, maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Monitor fuel pumps, manage stock rotation for convenience store items, and assist with deliveries.
- Ensure the forecourt and store areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures, especially during night shifts.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including till reconciliation and securing the premises.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or security concerns to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and experience handling cash and card transactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for varying shift patterns.
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency during busy periods and challenging situations.

- Previous experience in a retail, cashier, or customer service role.
