Job Description
As the Head of Shopify Growth at Hudson’s Bay Company, you will lead the strategic vision and execution for expanding our Shopify platform’s capabilities and market reach. This executive role is critical to driving our digital transformation, focusing on increasing revenue, optimizing customer journeys, and fostering innovation within our e-commerce ecosystem. You will build and lead a high-performing team, overseeing all aspects of Shopify development, marketing integrations, and performance analytics to ensure best-in-class online retail experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Shopify growth strategy aligned with overall company objectives.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of Shopify apps and integrations to enhance platform functionality.
- Oversee A/B testing, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), and personalization initiatives to improve user experience and sales.
- Manage a cross-functional team of developers, marketers, and product managers focused on Shopify.
- Monitor and analyze key e-commerce metrics (traffic, conversion, AOV, LTV) to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, and IT departments to ensure seamless online operations.
- Stay abreast of Shopify platform updates, industry best practices, and emerging e-commerce trends.
- Manage the budget and resources allocated to Shopify growth initiatives.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on Shopify.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and improving e-commerce KPIs on the Shopify platform.
- Deep expertise in Shopify Plus, its ecosystem, and third-party integrations.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, digital marketing, and web analytics.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinking with an analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with multi-brand e-commerce strategies on Shopify.
- Certification in Shopify Partners or relevant e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
