Job Description
Are you an avid gamer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for speed? Electronic Arts is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Beta Testers for our Need for Speed franchise, specifically for evening shifts. This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on with unreleased content, identify bugs, and provide critical feedback that will directly influence the development of the next generation of racing games. We value your insights, and your ‘tips’ (feedback) are highly rewarded. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your home in Boise, Idaho.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute pre-defined test plans and ad-hoc testing across various game modes and features of Need for Speed.
- Identify, reproduce, and document software defects (bugs, glitches, performance issues) accurately and concisely.
- Provide detailed written and verbal feedback on gameplay mechanics, user experience, balance, and overall enjoyment.
- Participate in evening playtests and feedback sessions as required.
- Collaborate with the development team to clarify bug reports and suggest improvements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all unreleased game content and information.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games, especially racing games.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate bug tracking software (training provided).
- Reliable internet connection and a compatible gaming platform (PC/console).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in beta testing or quality assurance for video games.
- Familiarity with the Need for Speed franchise or other popular racing titles.
- Experience with bug reporting tools like JIRA or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during evening shifts.
