Job Description
Are you a pet enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a desire to help improve customer experiences? PetSmart is seeking dedicated Mystery Shoppers to evaluate the quality of service, store cleanliness, product availability, and overall shopping experience at our various PetSmart locations in and around Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a unique opportunity to combine your love for animals with a flexible, part-time role that directly contributes to enhancing our brand standards and customer satisfaction. You will visit designated stores, interact with associates, observe operations, and provide objective, constructive feedback through detailed reports. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to fit assignments around your existing schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct unannounced visits to PetSmart stores, posing as a regular customer.
- Evaluate various aspects of the store visit, including customer service, associate knowledge, store cleanliness, product presentation, and checkout efficiency.
- Interact with store associates to assess their helpfulness and product expertise.
- Complete detailed and objective evaluation forms and reports within a specified timeframe after each visit.
- Provide constructive feedback and actionable insights based on observations.
- Adhere to all guidelines and instructions provided for each shopping assignment.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all mystery shopping activities and findings.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and provide unbiased feedback.
- Reliable access to transportation to visit store locations.
- Basic computer proficiency for online report submission.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A genuine love for animals and understanding of pet parent needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail environments.
- Prior mystery shopping experience is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with PetSmart products and services.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying assignment schedules.
