Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pasta Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our indoor food production team in Bolton. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficient and quality production of our pasta products. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery, ensuring all operations adhere to strict food safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate pasta manufacturing machinery, including extruders, dryers, and packaging equipment, according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production lines to ensure product quality, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
- Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, and minor maintenance tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products, adhering to specifications.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety (HACCP), hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to maintain a hygienic production environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and improve efficiency.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating pasta manufacturing machinery.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
- Forklift operator certification (desirable but not essential).
- NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing or a related field.
