Job Description
Optum is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Online Wellness Coordinator to provide virtual support to our members on their wellness journey. This 100% remote role offers flexibility while working to empower individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles through personalized guidance, resource navigation, and motivational support. You will be a key point of contact, facilitating access to wellness programs and fostering a positive online community environment. This is a full-time, flexible position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide virtual one-on-one and group wellness coaching and support.
- Assess member needs and develop personalized wellness plans.
- Navigate members through available Optum wellness resources and programs.
- Monitor member progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
- Facilitate online workshops, webinars, and support groups on various wellness topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential member records using internal systems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic member support.
- Respond to member inquiries and provide timely, empathetic assistance.
Required Skills
- Excellent virtual communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using online communication platforms and wellness tracking tools.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to wellness support.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
- Familiarity with various wellness domains (nutrition, fitness, stress management).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in health promotion, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Certification in wellness coaching, health education, or a similar discipline.
- Experience with large-scale online community management.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
