Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as UPS Taggers in Oakland, CA. In this vital on-site role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, sorting, and tagging packages to ensure their efficient flow through our distribution center. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately identify and categorize packages based on destination, service level, and special handling instructions.
- Apply appropriate tags, labels, or stickers to packages with precision and speed.
- Operate basic material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Assist with sorting packages into designated areas for loading or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and basic computer systems.
